They dont have orionOK. Why do you think that is? And why aren't we capable of the same? Seems like a simple supposition. Also, why do we choose to be "slower"?
Its easy to be faster "in transit" when you only have to move half as much volumeThe reality is FedEx Ground is faster than UPS.
Our new hires make more then 52k

Half as many packagesOk. Why would that be? You make it sound like our trucks are heavier and slower. But seriously, why? DHL quit, Amazon quit(we'll see), Post Office could never do it. So, why?
Don’t know how you made it 40 years with such thin skinFunny I guess for a dick. But simply not true. Maybe you can see your family physician for the spitting up. Do you have Covid? Coughing is a symptom...
Half as many packages
I was mostly kidding. but my thought was less pkgs, less time spent in hubs/terminals? Also, i dont THINK fedex is faster than us, exept maybe air? I mean, unless you have a ground pkg going coast to coast, its pretty much 2 days to get your stuff. Im impressed how fast things move nowYou don't think we would get more trucks and drivers? It just doesn't make sense. What is happening when packages are shipped i.e. picked up? Shippers ship and their pkgs are picked up generally every day. You know they are sorted and put in some sort of vehicle(feeder, train etc.) and sent on their way to the destination. Why are we slower(assuming that is true)? Given how obsessed UPS is about efficiency. Why don't we hire fed ex people? A mile is a mile, speed limits are speed limits.

Ok. Right up until they roll one or kill someone in a work zone. I get passed by Fed Ex(and UPS) in work zones all the time.Speed limits are meant to be broken- actual FedEx ground class-A driver motto
Ive heard FedEx's air fleet is bigger than ups'sOK. But air? I buy stuff all the time online. But with Amazon you really never know where it's coming from. Some delivery times are impressive and then not. I don't really have a complaint about online commerce.
Only guys worse than fedexers are carhaulers and cement truck driversOk. Right up until they roll one or kill someone in a work zone. I get passed by Fed Ex(and UPS) in work zones all the time.
I take home more than that with my 401k at 25%That's not why you get a sleeper run. Well, mostly. I'm sure there are some sort of budding bromances or other. You do it for the MONEY! Some do it for that and to get away from mgt. or home....If you are following the dot rules, you really don't see the other person for more than 8 hours just like in a brown truck. I do sleepers for the money-period. $1000 every week take home. Cash. $52K per year. 2020 Corvette? Anyone?

Ok. Let's say it is, and so? We have or lease as many planes as we need...just like fed ex. Are you saying they are faster because we leave pkgs behind waiting on available planes? This makes no sense.
Who is "we"?We are talking about time in transit for ground packages. TTKU.
