Anyone who saves 10 to 15% of their income would be better off. It’s really not hard and you don’t even have to be smart.

OK, @rickyb if the money comes from the government, why do they even charge us taxes? They can just print money and we could all be happy and live however we want.

Are you admitting the government taxing us is just a way to keep regular people poor?
the govt probably does tax partly as a means of social control. they do consider their citizens to be the biggest enemies. and yet greenland gets 2.5 to 3x more vacation than i do because of govt.

i dont think alot of people can save these days.

if they print too much its inflation.

And then you go to their house and see their four big screen TVs, a car payment they never should’ve agreed to, a new iPhone every year and every monthly service you could imagine coming out of their checking like Netflix and Hulu etc. etc. yeah they really can’t save because they spend it all.

i bet a lot of people cant even afford a studio these days

i know some parts of the country are cheaper now, but i dont think they will be in a few decades, they will be unaffordable too if we allow banks to keep printing money for mortgages.

and i also agree people dont have good self control.

but anyways if SS is gone, then you will have what you had before which didnt work.

Then the government should set up individual funds, just like 401(k)s that we cannot access, but they are only hours instead of giving all of our money to some sort of slush that doesn’t even really exist.
