We might need a product that is perfect. I don't think there is a perfect product. One that can meet so many expectations. I respect you though and appreciate your manner on here.

@LagunaBrown What do you think of the new dishonesty language? If you've seen it.
I like it. Many times we fought the company on terminations that were a stretch..... They would take a methods violations or the ability of a member to accurately recall an event and try to turn it into dishonesty. It usually got worked out on panel but now the language is cear for the Center Managers.

I agree I think it's good also. I was sick of seeing it used as a intimidation tactic on drivers that they didn't like.

Are we talking about the line that says something like, the driver not recalling the previous day will not be considered dishonesty. If so I was all for that.

No new language will be added to the southwest package rider about dishonesty. Are you covered by the southwest package rider?

So this flyer was passed out at our hub on Wednesday morning I believe...was going through it and liked the elimination of the yearly annual deductibles.... when I got to the last one it left me wondering... can someone explain the bottom right "highlight"?

Which reads:
Teamsters Western Region
and Local 177 Healthcare Plan
has severed all ties to TeamCare

What will I have now? Or where can I find the small print.

The deductible and a few other things was linked to Teamcare and now it’s gone. We are able to make any improvement to the plan independently now without Teamcares consent. It a good thing

Here's what I want to know about the 22.4 jobs. What job are they doing after Saturday & Sunday? Are they working inside the building or out driving? If they are driving the title doesn't make any sense? Why would they make less money and have to work weekends? IF they are working inside this job does make sense. I know a couple people who would consider it knowing they likely won't have to work any O.T. on the non-driving days.

They are really just a upgraded cover driver. They will drive Tuesday through Saturday primarily. They could have some inside work but the company will not to pay them $30 to do inside work unless desperate.

No, no, not jumping down your throat, just some healthy debate....and I will say I went back through some older posts and saw some of your positions on 22.4 so its all good. However I still dont know how you think your protected from layoff on Monday. Number 1. By the company adding that little phrase to the end of the 8 hr/40hr guarantee.. “if work is available”, you know they must have some plan. Why add that language if you didnt have a plan to use it. Number 2. Yes, the new 22.4 are only to work either Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday(if it ever comes to that) So whats to stop the company from running a full sort on Saturday and then there being less work on Monday?? If I was the company and I was given a gift of a delivery driver at 16.00 less an hour, I’d be using the friend*#k out of them. Not saying everyone would be laid off on Monday, but I could easily see them cutting as many routes as they have 22.4s...so up to 25% on Monday...look there is a finite amount of work that comes into the system, sure they will be making pickups on Saturday, but thatsjust work that wouldhave been picked up on Monday if we didnt work Saturday. So now youre spreading the delivery of that work out over 6 days( and maybe eventually 7) instead of cramming it into 5....so seems quite possible people will be laid off. The phrase about “work available” needs to go from the RPCD language. Its not as big a deal in the 22.4 side because they are combo employees anyway and they could always work one of the sorts to get theirs. But we just need to DEMAND better from our Union and Vote No and tell them to fix this :censored2:!
Oh you can bet they’re going to cut routes on Monday because of weekend deliveries and all the routes going out on Monday will have too many business stops. They’ve already shown us this, with the Tu-Sa drivers.

Probably but here we have a daily guarantee so we get our 8 hours Monday and a 9.5 list if they put on too much work on the rest of the week.

542 contract meeting is this weekend Sat and Sun. Should be interesting. We have a lot of angry PTers and Cover Drivers.

To be completely honest I predict a lot of yelling and cussing.

I bet you don’t. People are miss informed and Andy M will tell it like it is.

So you saying part times that are married, single, have kids or struggling with 2 or 3 jobs will vote no to this 22.4 job?

$34.79 Wage per hour
$13.21 Pension per hour
$14.53 Healthcare per hour
$62.53 an hour in benefits
$130,060 a year total compensation

These numbers are ONLY on a 40 hour work week. There is no overtime added in.
