Suspended service in Chicago

I know FedEx is a woke champion of racial justice since they demanded the Redskins change their name and they painted Denny Hamlin’s car black for a race or two. Consequently, I’m sure they have a good reason for continuing not to service predominantly black neighborhoods in Chicago weeks after the civil unrest without notice to the customers. Maybe Fat Freddy can send a nice 4x6 of Denny Hamlin‘s car to anyone questioning the company’s practices.

Ive already told myself that the first time I see a BLM clan of tards in the road blocking my path, Im EC'ing every single package on the truck and taking them back and they can come to the center and get them if they want. Only one part of my route is in the projects and its my end of day stuff (Im sure they dispatch it that way on purpose in the event of robbery not only do I not have alot of stuff left but its all "their" stuff anyways so they'd essentially be stealing from their literal neighbors lol). But my center manager is cool, if I told him an area isnt safe to deliver in he'd just say we arent delivering to that area anymore and quit service there.

They want to make it inconvenient for me, Ill return the favor. Enjoy that 1 hour round-trip to go get your tshirt after standing in line for 5 hours because everyone else is there...

That decision wasn’t made by FedEx Ground. It was made by independent contractors that were having their trucks hijacked even with police escorts.

No customer is going to know that or understand what it means. Their understanding is “I ordered something and FedEx didn’t bring it.”

Your rant blamed FedEx. They weren’t making the decision. FedEx spokespeople aren’t going to respond to the news saying trucks are getting stolen because they don’t want to encourage that behavior or put it in criminal’s heads. Would you send drivers into an area where they are likely to be hijacked at gunpoint?

All customers are going to know is that they bought something online and FedEx didn’t deliver it.

Got it, you don’t care about reality, you just want to cry, “FedEx bad!” Carry on.
It’s not what I care about, it’s what the customers care about, no? I’m sure an entrepreneur like yourself understands that. Customers can’t even tell the difference between Ground and Express. They’re not going to know nor care about the contractor model and who passed the buck to whom. All they’re going to understand is that they bought something and FedEx didn’t deliver it. You’re a smart guy; I really feel like you should be understanding what I’m saying.

I live in the Chicagoland area.
60615=not predominantly black.
60402(berwyn)=mostly white.
60804(cicero)=white/Hispanic.
Iwbf is right. Drivers were getting pulled out of their trucks and being hijacked. It was a pretty scary time.

Nope. The contract for that area of my city has been available many times for free and I’ve never even bid for it.
These 2 clowns are always crying about how terrible Ground drivers are treated and now they are complaining their contractor didn’t send them out to be assaulted because they think that makes FedEx look bad.
