What would be even worse than replacing Bernie with someone with fewer votes: replacing him with some Unity Candidate™ who didn’t bother to run at all. Kerry and Hillary both seem interested. Anyway, if Bernie has the most delegates but isn’t the nominee, the Party will burn.

So Bernie only gets, say, 38% of the vote going into the convention. He lacks political credibility and democratic appeal, say his critics. So let's have the Convention elites choose a candidate who only got 30% of the vote. Genius!

If anyone other than the candidate with the plurality of delegates becomes the Democratic nominee, that will be the end of the Democratic Party. It will do more to destroy faith in our democracy than what Trump has already done. #DemDebate

It’s almost like immediately after everyone realized that Bloomberg was an incompetent overlord, they collectively decided to go to plan C to stop Sanders: Contested Convention. Same rules apply. You steal democracy from us we steal your power from you by refusing to vote.

After the supremely satisfying destruction of Bloomberg, this was one of the most important moments of the night: revealing the collective plan to stop Sanders even if he wins & showing how intrinsically corrupted Democrats are:

Well there you have it folks, not a single candidate but Bernie says the candidate with the most amount of delegates going into the convention should be the nominee....
Democrats choosing a Democrat as their nominee is hardly theft. Bernie Bros are idiots.

yea it is. when you select, not elect, someone who gets less votes than the other thats not democracy.
Primaries are a relatively new process in American democracy. It’s the party’s responsibility to select who they believe represents their positions best. We’d all be better off if the Republicans had chosen a Republican candidate in 2016.

As we know them today it’s more like 50. Both parties use a system that isn’t direct election for a reason. They elect delegates that aren’t bound after the first round of voting. If the parties wanted it to be the person with the most votes they could set it up that way.
As we know them today it's 108 years ago in North Dakota of all places. 50 years ago was only 1970.

what kind of stupid idea is that? were going to let a bunch of rich :censored2:s control the so called republic or democracy.

im guessing since you said its 50 years old, democrats started it after george mcgovern ran. in that case you should think twice about the virtues of this electoral system.

You're not a citizen. If you want rights and bennies you've got to sneak across the border. Until then you have no say.

DNC changed the rules to accomodate their corrupt billionaire capitalist friend bloomberg who has already spent 300+ million which is 10x what bernie spent. this is the unprecedented buying of an election

Only if he wins. Otherwise it's money poorly spent.
