Look what happened to greyhound racing after it was discovered that breeders were killing all the dogs they determined weren't going to be good racers. Common practice to shoot them. Might be business to them, but to the general public it's cruel. Simple solution. If you're going to get a pup but aren't willing to put in the effort necessary to see to its needs, and aren't willing to rehome it, then don't get a pup.
