Federal law supersedes state law. The war that you say was wrong was about this. Yes we are a bunch of states, but at the end of the day we are one country

Only when there is a federal law. And even then States do not need to follow them just not impede federal authorities. Most laws are left to the states. AND there was no law about seceding(or not) back then. It was said it was unconstitutional to secede(please show me where?) And it was even said it was to also protect democracy. How is forcing your will on a group wanting to leave is democracy? Sure sounds authoratarian to me. But im not surprised you are for that.
PS Im not taking up the Souths side for slavery but 2 wrongs do not make a right.

Also if states were not allowed to secede then how did my own state(WV) secede from Virginia during the time the south seceded. PS we left due to little to no representation in Virginia politics. Sounds an awful lot like you want to do again with getting rid of smaller states voices with the Electorial College.

Smaller states have a slightly larger voice in the Electoral College than their population would suggest.

no they don't. they are based off the census. aka the one in 2020 is used for this and the 2028 election. the next census will change the numbers for the 2032 and 2036 election.
