I know, but the Democrats have helped that along with the opponents they have put out there in the past. Up until this past election he was considered meh on popularity, but a much better choice than the Democrats put forward. He has changed his politics the last 5 or 6 years though and is very disliked at this point (even more so by his own party). Roy Cooper was considered as a fairly popular governor and has heavily hinted that he will run. Even in a red state he will beat Tillis
Cooper supports dudes in women's sports, doesn't he?

Pretty much.... I don't like him and can't explain his popularity, but he is. I think his strategy has been to play to the middle of the state where most of the population is. He is pro money handouts to liberal causes in the Raleigh, Greensboro triad, Charlotte communities. The rural votes on the east and western ends can't stand him but he plays to the big cities well.

There will be a strong effort to primary Tillis
I hope so, but so far it's cricket sounds. No big name has stepped up so far. The push sounds to be to get Lara Trump to enter the race but it's only talk. She has remained silent so far. Personally I don't think Donald wants her to run. I've voted to primary him every time so far with no success. We had a good chance to beat him years ago with a man named Greg Brannon, but the Tillis war machine was just too powerful. Since then it's been no one of any significance
