You take a boy , add in a Wizard, give him a quest to find a girl, he gets help from an older male to fight against the evil king.

a new hope, the first star wars, looks like exactly what i said a poor person in the 3rd world gets blown up by an empire and becomes radicalized. lukes home is not rich.

the star wars prequels came out at the same year as first matrix, and were much more based on western systems of control like grand lies of palpatine. in the matrix everyone looks rich quite often, but when you leave the matrix the reality is they eat ty food and even dress poor.
