Also funny is I have less than four years to pay this house off but yeah I will forever owe A monthly or quarterly property tax, that continually goes up never down. What exactly do I own?
That's why I keep a separate savings account.
I take a certain amount of my paycheck every week and it goes into that account. So when my property taxes, homeowners insurance and car insurance are due I have the money it's not a surprise.
And if I pay my taxes by a certain date they give you a little bit of a discount

I do that for several things as well and will do the same after my home is paid off

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
Recently I was going through some junk I had done in the basement I found one of them old passbooks that you put the quarters in.
It was full of bicentennial quarters.
That was a big deal back then you'd fill that book up and take it to the bank and they put that money in your account
Oh yeah! The little pouches! Man that was a long time ago.
