Pathetic.
PT Barnum was describing you.

How much more for a lower deductible? The value of something has a big impact on what you are charged to insure it. The deductible is what hits us hard in Florida. I have a 5% deductible for hurricane coverage. Take my house for example. When I bought it in 2009 it was less than $100k so if a hurricane hit I paid less than $5k and then the insurance kicked in. Now my house is valued at $350k so now I have to come up with $17,500 before insurance kicks in. That’s a huge cost adjustment for the same house and that is just the deductible not even counting the rise in the premiums.

We're in the middle of Florida. My dad doesn't have insurance for the reasons you cited. My sister was recently contacted by her insurance company that she'll need to get a new roof to comply with their requirements. No insurance then house is foreclosed on is my understanding. You can get 2%, 5% or 10% Deductible. There isn‘t a hugh difference in the premiums. Save maybe $500 on a $3000 premium. Think of it with a 10% deductible on a $340k house you have to shell out $34k before insurance will pay a dime. You could replace your whole roof and a quite a few other things before insurance would pay a dime and for this “great” coverage you will be paying thousands of dollars.

Gets pretty tense around here when a hurricane comes through lol. He just spent $20k on a new roof.My house is paid for and I thought many times about dropping the insurance. The only reason I don’t is because of tornadoes that spin up when a hurricane comes through. A tornado can destroy the house completely. It happened to a few people I know.
PT Barnum-lol was hoaxer. Now I see why you brought him upPT Barnum was describing you.
But then again, you people will light yourselves on fire if you thought it would cast darkness on your President, Donald J. Trump
