Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
I haven't seen her since November 2020. We talk once in a blue moon on Messenger. She recently got fired after snapping at a customer. It was her third strike. On unemployment and she's got a mortgage. So may be seeing her soon because she's 63 and can't find a job.

Online search, first article is from Reuters...
"Hundreds of thousands of people have been trafficked by criminal gangs and forced to work in scam centres and illegal online operations across ... Cambodia, Thailand."

Cambodian People's Party (CPP) was born out of communism, and is cooperative with Chinese criminal "gangs".

Since you are fond of movies, watch The Killing Fields for a glimpse of Cambodia's past.
(You may have heard of it.)
someone should tell the US state department they have level one travel advisory on cambodia

I thought you were Argentina bound
Love Argentina. But the super low prices are no more and I'm not fluent in Spanish. Can do everything in English here and it never gets cold. Hotter in Florida right now while we've had highs in the 80's here for a week. The people here take kindness and respect to another level. Supermarkets here are better stocked than what I was seeing in Argentina. The liberals in Argentina about ran it into the ground. Even Walmart pulled out.

@vantexan just messin' with ya fer sport. I've read about your troubles for quite a while. Just seems like you like to go all the way around the planet, just to get to Whataburger that's down the street.

Suit yourself.
I like very much seeing my money go four to five times further than it would in the States. And being in a culture that values harmony and doesn't base a person's worth on their bank account is just gravy on top.
