Today is much better. All of the ground is here and the air is on time.
It’s an ego thing for him....he can’t handle seeing a driver 1/2 his age beat him...the brown coolaid is strong with this one....Do you get a bonus or bigger raise for running and gunning?
Get one of those office stiffs as your helper and run their ass off through the gauntlet...let em work for that 6 figure Christmas bonus....We are going to have the corporate folks here all week. We were told “we put a little dent in the backlog” yesterday. I welcome the help.

Seriously??? You sure that wasn’t @monkeybutt before you really knew himA majority of these people are clerks, secretaries, specialists, etc. Not many are making big bucks. A few years ago I had a corporate IE guy ride with me doing a time study. He used to hand Mike Eskew the daily operations report for the whole company. He had a doctorate degree in math. He told me he made $45K, I was grossing almost twice that at the time.

Uhhhh...did you quote the wrong person?I can't believe what a clown you are jumping thru hoops for these guys.
I'm clueless, but in a different way than you, in why you do what you do for UPS.
I can assure you that many of your past and present sups over the years have to be coffee clutching in the morning meetings and bringing you up laughing and saying what a runner and pushover we have here.
Come on @TearsInRain makes more than that lolA majority of these people are clerks, secretaries, specialists, etc. Not many are making big bucks. The Corporate folks worked the Preload and tried to run a second Preload Sort after we left the building. All our air was late. The plan was to clean out all the rolled trailers and then shuttle the loads out. My supervisor finally brought mine out at 5PM. I was working my 6000 section, I just took the ones that were in the 6-8000 sections. I took about ten stops and ran about 240 total. I wasn't running my route twice and stay out all night. When I got back, routes were stacked out on pallets all over the place. Maybe they can come in and try to clean us up again tomorrow.
But he started out as a preloader and worked his way up the company. He knows everything and runs this company soooooo well. Why should Ups get rid of such an outstanding leader? They need to get Abney's ass out there!
I was missing 44 stops/packages for stops today. All my NDA were late and three were missing altogether. I wonder what tomorrows plan for failure will be. Large mounds of missed packages still stacked everywhere when I got back to the building. Including payrolls and medicine. I did run into somebody delivering packages out of her Corolla. I didn't see a DIAD or Helper phone, I don't know how they were being recorded.
But, Dave says they are all caught up.
