Which barriers are you referring to? Trump's proposed tariffs or the shutting out of our products in many markets?Barriers to free trade?

i can always count on you to provide the proper level of histronicsIt's time to go back to sticks and rocks now that the Trump tariffs are here.
One thing is for certain, with our dependency on Wal-Mart and Amazon, and their dependency on China, things could get bad in a hurry. It's time to go back to sticks and rocks now that the Trump tariffs are here.

just have to figure out when enough is enough and if we are ever going to have the balls to challenge china and what they are doing to our country. One thing is for certain, with our dependency on Wal-Mart and Amazon, and their dependency on China, things could get bad in a hurry.
You can certainly look at it that way but protectionism is alive and well in much of the world and Trump is trying to break into those markets. Don't assume because you can buy a Toyota here that a Japanese man can buy a Chevy in Japan. No matter how you look at it the middle class in the U.S. in the last 40 years has shrunk significantly while our national debt has increased exponentially trying to keep a large part of our population afloat. No other president has tried to tackle this. Maybe there's a better way to do it but if so why hasn't it been done?Tariffing the whole world based on made up percentages that other countries are tariffing us at.
japan might not buy SUV's they like smaller vehiclesYou can certainly look at it that way but protectionism is alive and well in much of the world and Trump is trying to break into those markets. But our American companies can't even build factories in Japan to make them small cars. We are shut out on major industries in Japan, the EU, and China. Thus the trade imbalances.japan might not buy SUV's they like smaller vehicles
Worst states for suicideWhat’s the suicide rate…
In blue states???
I'm not arguing that point , I'm just saying they wont buy large vehicles we would have to sell smaller ones there if they did open the market to usBut our American companies can't even build factories in Japan to make them small cars. I don’t see a problem. Neither do consumers.A lot of what we have is designed here and made elsewhere. We do build cars and planes but a lot of the components are made elsewhere.
Cities where factories have shut down because they couldn't compete with 3rd world labor costs certainly see a problem.I don’t see a problem. Neither do consumers.
