The Nothing Burger is your contribution to the news that this stupid administration shared sensitive military planning with an outsider.
You do know they all use an encrypted app like signal. Republican or Democrat right. So the question is how did the journalist get added. I would bet there is more to the story. But you do you

It looks like Trump made a big mistake picking Mike Waltz as a National security advisor

Word play. He wasn't technically "texting" as in sending SMS texts with a phone.
i thought it was a pretty clear denial of the story

Trump defends national security chief Waltz after Signal texts about Houthi strike sent to reporter

"President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he was not upset with national security advisor Michael Waltz after he reportedly added a journalist to a text thread in which top officials discussed pending military strikes.

“Michael Waltz has learned a lesson, and he’s a good man,” Trump told NBC News in a phone call when asked if he still had confidence in his top national security aide.

Asked how Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor in chief of The Atlantic, came to be included in a text thread that included Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump blamed a lower-level staffer.

“It was one of Michael’s people on the phone. A staffer had his number on there,” the president said."

The Atlantic reporter was in the Signal group chat.

Exactly. Someone added him to the chat.

How did he get into the chat

Signal was being used by the intelligence groups prior to the trump takeover . its use started under biden. its unlikely war plans were shared in text app. If war plans were to be shared it would be too cumbersome to do so through a text app. anything is possible including the possibility that the biden intelligence folks set up the group chat and added the reporter to create this type of embarrassment for the trump folks. lord knows this kind of crap has happened before.

Instead of there being any reckoning for this so that we can collectively learn from this mistake they'll be no such lessons learned. Future mistakes will be much worse.
one indicator will be the sharing of the information the reporter claims he received. If he never shares it or waits months then we'll know that the content is not that serious. If the reporter actually recieved detailed information then he can share that line by line and let the trump people confirm or deny it.

for example he can claim that he recieved specific details about flight missions and the target without releasing the text for security reasons and the white house can then either confirm or deny it.

time will tell.

one sign of a nothing burger is when the left runs hard with the story to embarass trump trying to beat the clock and do maximum damage before the truth fully comes out.

I dont think anyone is disputing the reporter was on the group chat. the dispute appears to be the wording of war plans and what that entails.
