THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
Wow, sounds terribl……..y reasonable if they’re actually reviewing actual scientific studies.

Republicans should have a shot at deferring to science too. As long as it’s not “teh science”. We’ve seen how that works out.

“EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, who appeared with Kennedy at the news conference, said his agency was launching a renewed examination of scientific studies on the potential health risks of fluoride in drinking water to help inform any changes to the national standards.

“When this evaluation is completed, we will have an updated foundational scientific evaluation that will inform the agency’s future steps,” Zeldin said.”
You can have fluoride and no cavities, but cancer of the *. 🤔

i realize that you hate all things trump and trump related but sometimes when you don't understand an issue you can research it and see why people may have a different opinion than you on an issue. in this case a simple google/ ai search may be able to help you .

  • Health Concerns:
    • Dental Fluorosis: Excessive fluoride intake during tooth development can cause dental fluorosis, which ranges from barely noticeable white flecks to more severe staining and pitting of tooth enamel. While proponents acknowledge this risk, they argue the recommended levels minimize severe cases.

    • Skeletal Fluorosis: Very high levels of fluoride intake over many years can lead to skeletal fluorosis, a painful condition affecting bones and joints. Opponents worry about long-term accumulation, though proponents state this is extremely rare at the levels used in U.S. water systems.

    • Thyroid Function: Some studies have suggested a possible link between fluoride exposure and impaired thyroid function, although major reviews by health organizations have not found conclusive evidence of harm at recommended water fluoridation levels.
    • Neurotoxicity/IQ:Some controversial studies have suggested potential links between higher fluoride exposure (sometimes in areas with naturally high fluoride, not necessarily controlled fluoridation) and lower IQ in children. However, major health bodies like the CDC state that the evidence is inconsistent and insufficient to prove causation at the levels used for community water fluoridation.
  • Ethical Concerns/Individual Consent: Opponents argue that adding fluoride to public water constitutes mass medication without individual consent. They believe individuals should have the right to choose whether or not they ingest fluoride.

  • Dosage Control: It's impossible to control the exact dose of fluoride each person receives, as water intake varies greatly depending on age, activity level, climate, and health status.
  • Availability of Alternatives: Opponents argue that topical fluoride (in toothpaste, rinses, professional treatments) is effective for preventing cavities, making systemic ingestion through water unnecessary and avoiding potential systemic risks.

  • Effectiveness Questions:Some opponents question the extent of the cavity-reduction benefits attributed solely to water fluoridation, suggesting other factors like improved dental hygiene and fluoride toothpaste play larger roles.
Sounds reasonable

I wish I woulda had the pleasure of dealing with you when you were a punk ass UPS manager. Why’d you change your name on this site?
because with a name like tieguy i became a magnet for every hourly who didnt understand the boss / hourly relationship and thought he was supposed to boss the boss. you didnt have to like me as an hourly but you had to understand that you had a job to do and that my job was making sure you did yours. 95 percent of the upsers i worked with did an awesome job and represented the brown work ethic very well. i can tell by how easily you are triggered that you are clearly part of the other 5 percent. Unlike you i dont make idle threats and engage in false bravado on a keyboard.

Lol, are you cousins with @upstatenyupser? I’m glad you’re checking in regularly, it’s way more fun to hear how full of yourself you are again.

Typical you copy and paste an article with no source or validity. Let’s keep making things more like 1897 than 2025. Tariffs, no dental health, and diseases we thought we wiped out to kill our children again…..Bravo!!!!!
