Top Trump official Stephen Miller's recent declaration that anyone who "preaches hate for America" will face deportation has ignited alarm online, with critics warning the statement disregards First Amendmentprotections.

I figured the headline was misleading but his statement is pretty concerning, hopefully he follows up and clarifies

"Yes he will, as will anyone who preaches hate for America," Miller said. "Under this country, under this administration, under President Trump, people who hate America, who threaten our citizens, who rape, who murder, and who support those who rape and murder are going to be ejected from this country."
First Amendment protections are for citizens. Non citizens who've been given the privilege to stay here can lose that privilege over things they say and do.

and the law clearly states at the discretion of the secretary of state.

Section 221(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), codified as 8 U.S.C. § 1201(i). It states:
"After the issuance of a visa or other documentation to any alien, the consular officer or the Secretary of State may at any time, in his discretion, revoke such visa or other documentation."
This provision allows the Secretary of State to revoke both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas without specific criteria, though consular officers may also exercise this authority under certain regulations.

We’ve seen our 2nd ammendment be messed with, his quote doesn’t mention anything about non citizens, he specifically says “everyone” and in one part doesn’t even say deported but says “ejected”

With trumps comments about being willing to send Americans to foreign prisons, it’s just a bit concerning of a statement

Do you think Stephen Miller or anyone else has a right to deport.citizens? Before you run with a cherry picked quote you might want to see the context of the conversation it was lifted from. Violating First Amendment protections is something like the Attorney General sending out a memo referring to parents speaking up at school board meetings as "domestic terrorists." It isn't threatening to deport non citizens who participate in violent protests in support of an actual designated terrorist organization.
