Trump, as usual, is shooting off his mouth before learning about the subject matter at hand. Perhaps some of the briefings he doesn't need to attend ("I'm a smart guy") deal with our military aircraft, their costs, and deployment strategies.
I deliver to 2 of those places, real life is racist now?

The "I'm a smart guy" quote is from Trump, on why he doesn't need to attend daily intelligence briefings. I'd say he needs to attend several per hour.

The friend-35 has been in development for the last 17 years .
The Russians & Chinese can produce a new plane in 3 to 5 years .
That means they can & will quickly outpace the friend-35 . While our planes are still being tested and certified .
The Trump Administration should reduce all that needless paper work so that we too can develop new aircraft at the same pace.

The Air Force has ordered new friend-15C to fill the gap between the 187 F22 that Boeing stopped making in 2012 and F35.
The estimate lifetime for this air frame is estimated to be 55 yrs.
- friend-35A: $98 million
- friend-35B: $104 million
- friend-35C: $116 million
- And these planes costs do not include the engine .
