Customers that want their stuff early actually find me first thing in the morning...
Do you have them sign as required by the DIAD as you are away from the delivery point?

Customers that have their stuff ready for pickup with a bottle of water on top of box...
Dont Care about where i am. Im serving customer.... but dont know if you still drive... there is a new option when delivery is out of area.. met customer on road.... to justify out of area deliveryDo you have them sign as required by the DIAD as you are away from the delivery point?
Some people just do stuff like that... if i was well off, i would occasionally take care of people that take care of me... we dont get tipped everyday.. but its nice to seeAn occasional bottle of water or permission to refill your water bottle are modest gestures that go a long way.
$50 or $100 just to do our jobs is out of line.

I dont get your point... so he signs for package... end of storyTried that. Met a contractor friend who lives on my route at a local plumbing supply store. Tried to hand him pkg. DIAD wanted signature.
Most people insist on it, and find it as an insult, if you don't take their offering, whatever it is....and that appreciation would be enhanced if you were to say "thanks, but no thanks" when offered a tip of that amount...
Don't even try to get his point...your head will spin.I dont get your point... so he signs for package... end of story

If it is something small, I'll take it, and say thank you, if bigger, I will say something, and take it if they insist.
Which "tips" are you talking about? Most people insist on it, and find it as an insult, if you don't take their offering, whatever it is.

I would ask "where's the rest"?Would you feel right accepting a $100 tip?
It they were well off, then yes, if not then I would somehow give it back to them.Would you feel right accepting a $100 tip?

I'm sure he thought that he was helping his regular driver by helping me and because it was Christmastime.Damn -- you must be a fox!
Or, he liked watching your wiggle.I'm sure he thought that he was helping his regular driver by helping me and because it was Christmastime.

My point is his house is DR.
Of course not, but there's an unwritten rule about this. Politely turn it down once and it's OK. Turning it down a second time, especially if the customer is clearly insistent is insulting.Would you feel right accepting a $100 tip?
