I think a "combat zone" could be defined as ".....the enemy might shoot at you.".

I worked with a guy who transferred from different districts on a hardship. it's not impossible.

Might you recall the circumstances of the transfer? It's so rare in my experience that I'm more than curious...

I've had 4 transfers approved since 2006. (4 out of 6 requests) They happen all the time.

4 transfers in 6 attempts. (2006, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and will probably transfer in 2016) I know of at least 30 people that have done it.

We were talking about transfers that happened outside of the western supplement and outside of the same local such as hardship, quit-rehire, etc.

if I recall it took the guy 3years and when I asked him the details he said it was a long story and a real pain in the u no wut.
