I posted this on the trump 2024 but I’ll put it here also. I’ll admit I don’t know much about it, just repeating what I read

I found this information on conservative forum

“Can someone please tell me why the tarrifs are unfair?” With the graph posted

Because the "Tariffs Charged to US" numbers are fake. They are using the trade deficit as a percentage of exports, not tariff rate + non-tariff barriers as they claim.

NY Post confirms - we are charging tariffs based on our trade deficit with these countries, not on tariffs they are imposing on US goods.

Avoiding being funny but did Trump just announced economic war on half the planet?
He didn't just announce it today like no one knew. He's been talking about it for months. He's been writing about it for decades. He showed he was serious about tariffs the first time around . He's had endless speeches about just how unfair these countries are to us and how our past leadership allowed it to happen.

it shouldnt be a surprise to anyone. the end result is we'll be at 10 percent with everyone or we'll be at 100 percent with some of them and 10 percent with most. in any case what they do to us they will recieve in return. it may be the most just way of applying tariffs there is.

when you look at what the stock market does while all this is getting settled out keep in mind Trump has committments now for close to 6 trillion dollars of new investment in our country . that is a direct reaction by smart corporate leaders taking action to avoid those tariffs by building it here rather than somewhere else. Trumps tariff policy created that new investment .

On Bluesky, columnist Brian J. Karem posted, "NOW: According to Trump the Great Depression would have never happened if we had tariffs in 1929. WE DID! AND worse, President Hoover signed the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act into law in 1930, which raised import duties by an average of 20%. International trade suffered."

Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, senior fellow at the American Immigration Council, wrote, "Trump just claimed the Great Depression wouldn't have happened if we still had tariffs. I..."

"Trump claims lack of tariffs caused the Great Depression. All the free-trader economists' heads are going to explode," posted Bloomberg's Steven T. Dennis, while The Financial Times' Alan Beattie posted, "Trump thinks that cutting tariffs caused the Great Depression. I mean it's a view I guess."

You were born in the U.S. Should you be shipped back to Africa? And the majority of white South Africans are of Dutch descent.
If we are to follow the Palestinian support model, South African should cede territory so the minority population can live in peace.
