Well, since he hasn’t happened yeah we will just have to see. Even though you fancy yourself in economist.

It’s Rich listening to you defend the last four years even Harris couldn’t defend the last four years nor could she tell us what she would do different. You clearly don’t understand the election.
I don’t remember Joe Biden running in 2020 saying we’re gonna have record high inflation under my administration. 🤔
Perhaps you could enlighten me. What have I said about inflation that is incorrect? That the inflation rate was 9%? That now it is less than 3%? The definition of transitory?

I understand that voters believe that tariffs will somehow make things cheaper. Business leaders and economists disagree. I understand that voters believe that somehow mass deportations will improve their lives. Nobody has bothered to ask how that works and why it would be better. I understand that voters believe that peace through capitulation is a favorable outcome.

Again. I have no doubt the majority of voters will get what they voted for and the will try to convince themselves that it’s what they wanted. That somehow America is being made great again. I doubt there will be any substance to merit their belief.

What was the inflation rate in the 1970’s? I remember savings accounts making double digit returns so inflation was likely in the double digits.
Yea I would say if you're having to go back half a century to push your narrative, that's historically high.

Did they get what they voted for the last four years? Was there any merit to your belief? You spent the last four years trashing Trump didn’t work. You spent the last four years pretending inflation wasn’t that bad people didn’t believe it.

If the Democrats do not have any introspection and constantly belittles the general public and their actual life experiences of not being able to afford life anymore than you will continue to lose, and you will continue to be sour. Hopefully the Democrat party is able to move forward and be nothing like you on this.

It’s really that simple.

James Carville was right in the 90s and he’s right now. “It’s the economy stupid.” Always has been always will be.

Yes.

I'm too old to be fooled by your party's propaganda.
What's your excuse?
Both parties suck in my opinion I’m just analyzing the disaster that was this election for the Democrats. I’m actually parroting exactly what James Carville is Saying about his own party. Somehow they aren’t listening to him anymore and that’s why they’re losing.

Maybe they just tune him out because of his mumble mouth Cajun gibberish accent?

It truly blows my mind to listen to these people say the voters were idiots when we lived through the last four years. They’ve already determined the Donald Trump will fail, even though the last four years the American public felt were a failure. Absolutely no introspection. Just finger pointing and name-calling..🤷‍♂️ if you didn’t make your case to the American public then you didn’t do your job.

It appears the majority of Americans felt everything that was thrown at Donald Trump over the last four years was nothing more than political theater. The Democrats wrongly believed that that would help them win the election as well. They couldn’t have been more wrong. It was all about the economy.
Again the Democrats didn’t make their case. They actually made a mockery of it. Could be a reason why many of them are angry at the old guard like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer at this point.

It’s not belittling the general public to say that they didn’t bother to ask how these things would work. The general public has always held on dearly to social programs even while vocally advocating for their demise.

It is the economy. And when DOGE and the republicans slash government spending while levying tariffs we will see what an economic disaster looks like. That’s not even debatable.

Oh, well, I guess that’s that there’s just no debate.

I love when we are told that inflation was 9% at its highest and 2% now. For a person that just wants a talking point that sounds good but to other people they actually live in the real world and not a MSM world they are thinking “ I wish rent, food, gas, electricity, houses, cars, insurance, medicine, pet food, tires, wood, cleaning supplies, furniture, dinning out and almost every other thing would of only went up 9%.” Most everything I tracked went up at least 20%. Many things were 40% up to 100% increase from 2020. Add insult to injury it is still climbing today and some try to make this sound good.

I’m sorry this just isn’t up for debate anymore @bbsam said so. Obviously the American people were very lucky. Joe Biden was an office They were just too dumb to realize it.😉

Let’s take everything you just wrote and agree to all of it. I was simply going by reported numbers. What is Trump proposing that makes any of it better? The numbers you see aren’t going to go down because that’s not what capitalism is aimed at. The Federal Reserve aims to keep inflation between 2 and 3%. It doesn’t matter to them if incomes rise along with inflation.

Personally, I don’t think the problem are political. They’re economic. Or, “It’s the economy, stupid!” But capitalism is way out of balance. Neither Washington nor Wall Street want prices to come down. That’s deflation and in their minds far more destructive to the economy. The rich get richer and the poor and what’s left of the middle class will pay for it. Rinse and repeat. Because corporations are people too!😂

So then, why are you voting for anyone? Neither side is going to fix that. What was Harris going to do go after those greedy price gouging grocery store owners?
L O L.

It never hurts to rewatch one of the most brilliant economic minds that Kamala Harris had on her side Cardi B, really encapsulates everything the Harris/ Walz campaign was about.

When people just start blaming capitalism you might as well go ahead and dismiss everything they say. Waaaaaahh Wall Street waaaaaahh evil corporations waaaaaahh. It's always the same with these people.

They will be quick to point out at the stock market and Wall Street were humming along the last couple of years while saying Capitalism is evil. It’s true. The stock market has had a pretty good run. Is it real or fake and sustainable I don’t know. What I do know is it did not translate into the regular working people.

My neighbor (Democrat) was telling me how the president has nothing to do with the price of oil, it’s those greedy oil companies he said. I told him if that were true can you imagine the genius of Trump because he knew the oil companies wasn’t going to get greedy while he was in but knew they would if Biden got in. So much so that he used it in his 2020 campaign saying it was going to happen. On top of that the MSM and Democrats didn’t inform us then that Trump was lying and that the president has nothing to do with the price. How stupid of them. You think they would of fact checked him.

The president doesn’t cause the price of oil or inflation to go up or down, but his policies sure do.
