They had a twlight/local sort here on xmax eve. Everybody they had worked and wrapped up early, our twilight sort also parks all the package cars so that is partially why they had to do that, just made more sense to do it that way.

They had a Very minimal Local sort shift x-mas eve. We had to park are cars according to the parking sheet and unload are cars. We were also told not to come in before we called so nobody got left out really late.

Work the midnight sort in an air hub. Have to report to work Christmas Eve at 23:00. Work to about 3:30 Christmas morning.

We load the trucks and air cans to move on Dec. 26th

Of course half the people don't show up. The shift runs longer.

The peak new hires have to show up if they want to have a chance to get in for perm PT job

If a newbie does show up on Christmas Eve, management will not retain them after peak.

They have just wasted between 4 to 12 weeks of busting their butz getting slammed to get in.

Boy that sucks ,I never gave a thought about what happened when we unloaded the last air driver and sealed the A5 air cans or loaded the shuttle with late stuff for the air hub and went home after 9 on Christmas Eve . My respects . Someone always has it worse.

That's how we roll here at BDL air hub.

Management here is cool. The rank and file Teamsters respect that and are well motivated to do the job.

I am lucky to work in the hub of goodness. It is a smaller air hub. 2 to 3 planes a day. Plus 6 traillers on night sort.

Last year the ramp manager retired and we threw a big party for him. People paid 40 dollars for the dinner and testimonial. It was sold out.

70 Teamsters showed up to pay respect to his career.
