In reality that was probably still a lot of money back then. Those trucks are fetching big money these days as I'm sure you are aware.
I was a nice truck but it didn't take me long to move up to a 4 x 4 truck. After about 5 years this truck really started to rust out so I gave it to my son as his first vehicle. He ended totaling it out right in front of the High School.I bet you wish you still have it!
I think it was about $1500 difference for me. 4 wheel is nice but I seldom needed that extra traction.I could have got the same truck in the in 4 wheel drive for $1,000 more but I was too cheap.
A 2 wheel drive truck (especially rear wheel drive) is totally worthless on snow and ice. No good for ice fishing for sure.I think it was about $1500 difference for me. 4 wheel is nice but I seldom needed that extra traction.
What did you pick up for 43k, if you don't mind me asking?Well I bought a new one for $43,000. Not fancy but does what is needed. Personally- I don't give two turds about how others spend their money. It's their choice. A lot of concern around here with what others do. You know what I'm saying? Smell what I'm cooking? Get my drift? Lol.
Well, I guess I’m the slaveOhhh you want to bring slavery back huh
Depends on your capabilities.A 2 wheel drive truck (especially rear wheel drive) is totally worthless on snow and ice. No good for ice fishing for sure.
But I NEED a $100,000 (or $125,000) truck to haul paper towels and bottled water from Costco. All that means is now your new $100,000 pickup will cost you $125,000 (plus the annual price increase). Buckle up Buttercup.
By all means go for it. Let's get this economy back on track. But I NEED a $100,000 (or $125,000) truck to haul paper towels and bottled water from Costco.
Great news. $28 hour starting pay, over $40 an hour top pay, and top rate reduced from 8 years to 3 yearsGM reaches tentative deal with UAW, ending strikes at Detroit automakers after six weeks
The tentative deal is the result of contentious negotiations, which saw thousands of union members walk out of plants and onto picket lines.www.cnbc.com
Everything comes with a price tag price my friendGreat news. $28 hour starting pay, over $40 an hour top pay, and top rate reduced from 8 years to 3 years
According to the companies this strike cost them billions of dollars, what a waste. And for all the people on here and elsewhere licking the corporate boot and whining how this will increase the vehicle costs, according to the company it “would increase labor costs by roughly $850 to $900 per vehicle produced.”
Imagine going against middle class blue collar workers because the vehicle will cost maybe $1000 more
Great win for the union
Yup and in this case it’s less than $1000Everything comes with a price tag price my friend
Haha, well the companies themselves already said in a statement the extra labor costs will account to around $900 per vehicle, but I’m sure you’re right, but any extra they would have added with or without a dealThe auto industry accountants will calculate it out to $5,000 + your kidney.
