ups 2018 contract for new workers

I just start working at ups freight in October 2016 and all of the workers are telling me that I have to be at top scale(which is about 31$ an hour) by the next contract in August 2018. Is this true? I currently make 18.75 so I wanna know if it's true and how so if it is. Thanks buddies

First of all top scale will be nowhere near $31.00/hr is 2018. You have a 4 year progression that is found in the contract book on page 50 and you are not making $18.75/hr at UPS Freight, you would be making at the most $17.70/hr has a driver if you achieved your seniority of 45 punches in 90 days. We will be making $28.65/hr at the end of this contract. So no you will not be at top scale you will stay at the current 4 year progression unless there is a clause in next contract to increase your wage.
