In one of our centers driver got fired by the division manager for refusing to wear one last year when it first started. He got his job back quite fast. So Union does have the power to do so and maybe panels aren’t really happening in some states, they don’t want to risk or spend the money on thatWhat I really would like to know is if you could be fired immediately for something that’s not in the CBA. Maybe someone can enlighten me on this. I guess they could play the refusal to work as directed card but that’s a pretty slippery slope given that most directives from ups sups are ridiculous and unsafe
