Ex-DeKalb cop indicted for aggravated assault A Forsyth County grand jury has indicted a former DeKalb County Police
Officer on two counts of aggravated assault for reportedly pointing a “deadly
weapon” at two Lambert High School students this spring.

Scott Biumi, a 48-year-old Forsyth County resident, was arrested after the
incident, which occurred about 10:30 p.m. April 9 in the drive-through line at
McDonald’s on Old Atlanta Road.

McDonald's Literally Cannot Imagine How Its Workers Would Survive on the Minimum Wage

In what appears to have been a gesture of goodwill gone haywire, McDonald's recently teamed up with Visa to create a financial planning site for its low-pay workforce. Unfortunately, whoever wrote the thing seems to have been literally incapable of imagining of how a fast food employee could survive on a minimum wage income. As ThinkProgress and other outlets have reported, the site includes a sample budget that, among other laughable assumptions, presumes that workers will have a second job.
