65-70% of most businesses costs are attributed to wages and benefits. Pricing is projected forward in order for companies to stay solvent. Because they get minimal deductions, minimal exemptions, zero tax credits, zero deferred unless they file an extension, and the only time in history they qualified for economic stimulus was during Covid (and they probably only got that grudgingly.)
