This post is more a tribute and a deep hearted thanks to the late great Dick Clark who doesn't get the full credit he deserves for shaping the world of rock music. In both Iron Butterfly and Blue Cheer you can hear the foundations of what later would form the bedrock of metal and of course Jethro Tull with it's influence in what would become known as Progressive Rock. I was a fan of all 3 bands and was so lucky enough to have send these performances as I was a regular Saturday afternoon watcher of AB.
