Got in a 1958 P400. The sup had me drive around the building. That was the driving training.
Rode with me 3 days. Sheeting, method, and route training.
Peak was over. January came. By the next peak, I was full-time and 22.

We have guys that have 40-50 years at the company that are going to die in the seat…have absolutely no desire to retire….sad

Turn 31 in less than a month.
My on road test was over an our long because the on road said he wanted to be away from the building as long as we could.
I drove 75 miles my first time in a truck.

It’s crazy because they are collecting their pensions, social security, and getting a paycheck. I’m not sure if they aren’t retiring because of the money they’re pulling in or using the “I think I’ll be bored” excuse not to leave….this is my last contract and I’m not looking back…lol

They are making 200k plus a year.

That’s on the low end….some are actually required to pull out of their 401k’s also because of their age.

If you are still employed you do not have to take that money out.

But you are correct about that number being on the low end.
If they waited to age 70 they are probably getting 50k in social security
