Sorry for the confusion. What management is doing is forcing us to take an unpaid 15 break after day sort to break our times so we don't get paid OT after 5 hours. With the break in time between shifts, we now have to work 8 hours before we make OT

So at that point they make you a full time employee..have they done it for a week?

Maybe slowing the belts down and giving each preloader less trucks to load may help. Instead of unloading the trailers as fast as possible and destroying the loads.

Of course the hourly rate means something. But even at $40/hr I wouldn't want to go back and work the preload again. Maybe the sort aisle or the boxline slide but never loading.

You pay these slackers $20 a hour and they still won't show. I think this goes back to "rules don't count" attitude they were brought up with in school...Everyone's a winner, gets a trophy, social promotion... unlimited chances, no real punishment or consequences for negative actions.

Sounds like Jerry Jones is now in charge of hiring?
