I was raised by the motto, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Make that impression count.I throw my stuff on I'm ready to go don't want to wait that extra ten minutes for the dryer.

I tell my wife it doesn't matter she already has the prize.I was raised by the motto, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Make that impression count.
I was never really raised this way but since I was 15/16. You get what you see. I could care less. LolI was raised by the motto, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Make that impression count.
A bargaining chip. You know she dangles that
coochie in front of him like a carrot
So you're comparing drivers to "glorified waitresses " yet you do understand most drivers make over 100k and that's more than your husband. That's hilarious. Just remember that if we didn't do what we did everyday then your husband wouldn't have the job he does at ups.
And your husband has worked here all of one day and you're an expert on ups now???
I'd love to see the pushover that married you. Hope you guys are very young otherwise he's going to have a long time to go before he gets a pension eligibility that would compare or even come close to some "glorified waitresses" here.
A building can go on without a mechanic or two and still function. We make about the same hourly rate, you guys are just a few cents less than us. The only reason a driver makes more then him is because of all the overtime. If an IAM guy worked the same hours he would make more than a driver. I prefer 8 and skate. There is way more to life then spending half my day at UPS. You guys like the overtime and money. Your pension sucks and you need to save the money, hopefully I wont need it. If I do, it wont be there.
"Just remember that if we didn't do what we did everyday then your husband wouldn't have the job he does at UPS."
Come on bro. You guys think I a pompous prick. You cant really believe this? If PE didnt do their job, there would be no power in the building and the belts wouldn't run.
If none of us did our jobs, none of us would have a job at UPS. But really its the customer that makes UPS so big. If the customer disappeared, we wouldn't have a job. None of us are the reason why UPS exists, someone would do our job for less. The customer is why UPS exists, not the driver or me. Maybe after my 20 year mark I'll believe Im carrying UPS on my shoulders. Probably not but maybe, I'll have to drink alot of Kool-aid by then. I better grab a cup. Cheers!!!!! "Im the best around, nothing is every going to take me down."
NoI don't know about you guys. But I love a woman who is willing to do all the work. She just sounds like a woman who knows what she wants is willing to take control when she has to.
And probably punishes him by taking it away when he doesn't conform to what she wants. You know she dangles that
coochie in front of him like a carrot
Husbands a millwright and she acts like he's a brain surgeon. LolA building can go on without a mechanic or two and still function.
Leave a few package cars in the building full of packages and see if that works.
My point was while I'll agree with you that we all matter, the core business still needs to be done. And telling us we are "glorified waitresses " is the one drinking the kool aid. That arrogance works both ways and she showed it by referring to us that way while praising her husbands skills. Whom who couldn't even get the job unless his wife did 99% of the ground work for him. Not exactly a go getter there.
One point you have to remember is that if the core business doesn't get done, support jobs don't matter. If the pilots and drivers and PTers don't move stuff, there is no need for support positions. And while support positions are very important, the core business falls on us. And then you're right, they're wouldn't be any customers.
And if you think I'm relying on my pension for retirement, you're foolish. Nobody should rely on 1 source of anything for that.
Yep she does she sounds like a ride or die chick. No
No she doesn't.
This whole thread is comical. But according to Gear, WE are drinking the brown kool aid because we aren't him.Husbands a millwright and she acts like he's a brain surgeon. Lol
Not in a good way.Yep she does she sounds like a ride or die chick.
If it works for them and they're happy that's all that matters. You obviously have no clue as to what I'm talking about. Not in a good way.
More like a "do it my way codependent or you'll die" chick.
