Will Trump allow a strike against UPS?

In 1997 the talk was that the POTUS would force Teamsters to go back to work without a contract.

Without a Clinton in office this time, one has to wonder if Trump will allow a strike based on its impact on the US economy.

He'll support a strike because it will bag union votes come election time. Remember who gave him the election?

They (UPS warehouse workers) didn't vote for the strike power ... the strike vote was by the long-term drivers making $75,000 PLUS per year that authorized the strike vote. SMH

Correct again, the part time workforce at UPS for the most part does not care if they have their job or not, just ain't worth the effort to vote. Again it shows just how lousy the work is, nobody wants to start working here. Besides there is plenty of job opportunities out there to chose from. Just think if we do walk, what percent of our part time workforce will return? Another logistics nightmare to consider.

Your 75K a year remark shows just out of touch you are with the current job market. My son has been work for 2 years with a company and makes over 70K. 75K in certain parts of the country is not enough to be considered middle class now a days.

Again you bring up 75K we will bring up 10.15 an hour and no health coverage for a year...

Yes the part timers who've been there for a decade+ waiting for full time probably dont care, or the guys who need benefits so they dont pay thousands of dollars in equivalent insurance. What a bizzarely misinformed opinion.

Going out on strike is one thing. Being able to stay out long enough for it to make a difference is another. It all comes down to preparation. If enough people have set aside enough money to stay out for what could be weeks then you might have a chance to effect real change. Unfortunately, in most cases too few have taken these critically important steps. The most common result is that after just a few days the people who did not prepare for a strike begin to pressure the union negotiators for an immediate settlement regardless of the terms.

Teamsters are in big trouble. Trump will not allow a strike and he may have the law on his side. With UPS handling 6% of the GNP a strike would disrupt the US economy.

Reagan fired the air traffic controllers. what would make you think the UPS hourlies are immune?

Air traffic controllers are government employees

Sorry for being so blunt..Every scenario you listed I have been there, started part time and it did take over 10+ years to get full time. Medical has always been there.
If it wasn't for the strike in "97" all those inside 22.3's would of never been created, this contract will be the best opportunity for you to get a full time position if they settle the pension, H/W and start providing more full time work.

I did say for the "most part" and consider myself well informed for the information that we rank and file are given. It is my opinion and sometimes the truth hurts, the truth is that any time you have an opportunity to go full time, GET IT. Sounds like you have been waiting for a long time, good luck.
