We have agreed to wage freezes before.eliminate the raises. Lmfao!!!!!View attachment 213673
This is now brother. Record profits, economy booming, trucks blow out daily, you can’t be seriousWe have agreed to wage freezes before.
The 22.4 won’t be taken off the table. We will have to strike over this. The rest of the pie being divided up differently is spot on. Taking the pension increase off the table will be a hard but very possible reality.Only if we get a raise. If the contract is renegotiated because it was turned down we could lose the raises and pension increases in exchange for eliminating the 22.4 language.
You need to think ahead. What can happen 5 and 10 years down the road. This is now brother. Record profits, economy booming, trucks blow out daily, you can’t be serious
That is truefact is, no one knows for sure whats gonna happen if/when we vote this down. a master has never been voted down before. we will be moving into uncharted waters with leadership that doesn't agree with our vote.
Lmao.We have agreed to wage freezes before.
No. You don't remember?Lmao.
Are you high?
When?No. You don't remember?
Early 80's.When?
Must have been before my timeEarly 80's.
Must have been before my time
Could have been the contract when the Teamsters agreed to a two tier wage for PT. Reagan was President and fired the air traffic controllers and the economy was in terrible shape. We had a three year contract back then.Must have been before my time
I remember 3 year contracts and signing bonusesCould have been the contract when the Teamsters agreed to a two tier wage for PT. Reagan was President and fired the air traffic controllers and the economy was in terrible shape. We had a three year contract back then.
Union trucking companies were going out of business left and right. We were just happy to keep what we had.I remember 3 year contracts and signing bonuses
And now we're in a booming economy with record low unemployment, rising wages and benefits, and a trucking industry that has a 50,000+ shortage of drivers.....Union trucking companies were going out of business left and right. We were just happy to keep what we had.
No reason they can't fix the language on it . Why shouldn't they have the same protections as a regular driver, after all they will be doing the same job for a lot less money. The 22.4 won’t be taken off the table. We will have to strike over this. The rest of the pie being divided up differently is spot on. Taking the pension increase off the table will be a hard but very possible reality.
50,000 truck drivers. Not package delivery drivers. And all that can change very quickly. And now we're in a booming economy with record low unemployment, rising wages and benefits, and a trucking industry that has a 50,000+ shortage of drivers.....
What, you think the boxes magically go from one hub to the other? The contract covers feeders too.50,000 truck drivers. Not package delivery drivers.
It is changing quickly. It's getting much worse. Take a look at the average age of a truck driver. And all that can change very quickly.
We’ll see.No reason they can't fix the language on it . Why shouldn't they have the same protections as a regular driver, after all they will be doing the same job for a lot less money.
