I always worked Black Friday...I tried to file a grievance for time and a half but they always told me that work that day was voluntary so no time and a half for me. I park package cars and there's only 4 of us total. They other guys have more seniority than me so they begged off. I told them it wasn't voluntary at that point but it went nowhere. My steward looked more confused than usual. This year though...page 258 in my contract book has their ass in a sling for OT this year. I'm hoping to get in 10 hours that day. It'll be like getting an extra paycheck.
