Hard key for the camera or we wildcat on Christmas Eve! :censored2: em! 😭 😡😠!!
Don't know about walking, but the hard key makes sense. I guess those in diad development never worked outdoors, in bad weather, had to wear gloves. One solution would be a pen with the stylus on the other end. Seems simple, but the last thing the company would do is actually collect input for the folk who actually use the product every day.

But it worked fine when they tested it.

In the office.

A hard key for the flashlight would be nice also. That and if you have the flashlight on, but then have it stay on when the camera activates, or at least turn back on when the camera deactivates. But i guess a hard key would solve that issue.

They never have, and never will.

It's all about costs.

The ups DIAD training says the driver and helper should be using separate devices and taking pictures ..why are we not doing this? They told us to not take pictures now that it’s peak 🧔‍♂️✊

How much does it cost in lost time? Multiply all the wages paid as drivers fumble around all day with the diad. Adds up big time.

You and I both know that.

IE can't "quantify" that metric into their skewed time studies.

Everyone loses.... because of that flaw.

It doesn’t work. I had to leave it in the truck on Monday. Took pictures of dogs, cattle, birds and my boots more often than the box
You have to use the stylus with gloves. The pen-stylus combo idea I had would make that quick and easy.

Was just told today that pre-load working T-S cannot be forced to work Monday's. They'll ask by seniority first and if not enough volunteer, then they'll force from the bottom up.

Music to my ears.

What?

You said you were told they cannot be forced, but go on to say that they will force from the bottom up If needed.

I‘m confused.

I can see why.

I'm assuming it's considered volunteering for a non-scheduled workday. I know it's always been like that but just didn't know with new contract it pertained to peak also.

Plus I thought the '"no forced 6th punch" only applied to rpcd. At my building we haven't even gotten our contract booklets. Not sure if they're even out yet elsewhere.
