70 hours is way too much for this job. Yes it's a fantastic paycheck but it sure does beat you up.

It sure is.
Imagine all the pushing and pulling, lifting and squating, and that's just the physical.
Mental including focusing on traffic, civilians, viruses, pollen, people asking me for money, NDA, diad messages, ODS for neighborhoods you did earlier in the day on the far end of the route!!!!
It takes a strong person to do this job.

I haven't called in either.
I was on vacation last week but remained in touch with my crew. Super heavy every day.
Supes calling asking if I could come in, ON MY VACATION!
Our state opened up yesterday, so the up and coming weeks are gonna be terrible.
I was told Footlocker sending out 100-200 everyday. Wouldn't be so bad if the truck didn't still have 100+ deliveries to do after pickups. May God help us all.

They have been begging people here to work their vacations too.

I am off this upcoming week and I have no plans of coming out. I need a timeout from this place

wonder who thought it would be a good idea to package live plants with potting soil in a box with holes in it, My trucks floor is covered in dirt

Lol I never understood that myself.
A box isn't airtight so why the holes?
And if they insist on the holes, why not put the bottom part of the plant in a sealed plastic bag?

They put me in a P5 with 300 stops. Business missed up the ass; several days worth actually. But unless I miraculously become elastic man, there’s no way I can physically reach them without getting rid of the crap in the middle. So much crap that my bulkhead door comes out if the rails if I brake too hard.

We leave at 11:20ish, so my day is just clearing the middle so I can do pickups. Waste 50 mins driving back to the hub, unloading, and driving back to continue delivering and sheeting all the businesses missed.

Fun times! People their trampolines, 10 princess house boxes, and 150 lbs bed frames. Essential stuff!
