Advice for giving PCM

- Building volume
- What your unload is expected to do that day
- What your unload did the previous day, ie: mistakes and how to fix them
- What they should work on to improve
- Safety tip
- Where you want people to go

That's the standard. If your unload has guys that have been there for a while, ask them what they normally do and adapt around it. For me, the best sups I know have realized that if the section has a crew that can run it by themselves, it is best to run it with them and not over them.

In that case, focus on building volume, and basic safety methods. Use your load stands, drink lots of water, etc..

Don't forget the "fun fact" of the day....drivers sit on the edge of their seats waiting to hear that
In the Journal of Urology study, researchers found the following among the group of 80 men: An average penis size of 8.8 center manager (3.5 inches) when flaccid. An average penis size of 12.9 center manager (5.1 inches) when erect.

I love this one

"Do you know that on this day last year, 1000 people died in auto accidents"

Thanks for getting my day started on the right foot. SMH

A driver in my center told me, the center he came from, there was a group of 5 or 6 drivers who refused to attend the PCM and management just let it go. Said he was there 6 years, and they never attended one. I got a good chuckle from that. Those drivers are my heroes

Don't sound like a robot. It's meant to inform, not bore.

Don't regurgitate the same crap over and over. They heard the last 3 days drink lots of water, why are you doing it again?

Explain your points and explain why. Don't just say, scan every package. What does that do? Sure it's delivering a message, but WHY are we scanning every package? Is it because you want it to be that way? Or is it to provide visibility for internal and external customers.

Your attention getter should be interesting. Don't do something like there are this many spots on an NBA basketball. Who cares? I do today in history. Sure plenty will say who the hell cares? But Ive been told guys like it better than how many pieces of bubble gum double bubble made last year. And as someone who enjoys history, it's fun for me to look up.

Finally, Don't use it as a tool to attack. That is NOT what it is there for. Nothing kills morale or motivation faster than when a sup starts the sort ripping everyone to shreds. It isn't fair to those who did well. Those conversations should be held one on one. A PCM is the one opportunity you have a day to address your entire group. Use it wisely

We haven't had a PCM for 3 weeks. We have also never ever had one start with a fun fact. They do take a lot of photos though on their phones to prove they did a PCM though. We get a PCM maybe twice a month.
