We were told a different reason about why we lost maps.

Yeah, the memory leak was fixed before they disabled the maps screen. Don't need to restart anymore.
But the update 2 weekends ago created new issues.

The main issue with the last update is that nav often doesn't engage the first time you drop it into the cradle so you have to raise and drop again. 🙄

Why must new problems occur evertime an update is pushed? I get why it happens but why does the company (same with other tech companies) release the update without fully testing first? This is a glaring glitch that would be caught using the DIAD for 3 simulated stops.

This is why nothing ever gets fixed. Just run it on trace and let management worry about the missed commercial stops. That forces them to choose between making adjustments on their end or having to try and tell you which stops to skip to avoid missed. If every driver in the country would follow trace corporate would have made their puppets mad adjustments years ago. Or would have turned Orion off completely.
Not sure in a lot of cases. When I run 100% trace on a 130 stop route, my sporh goes down 12%, my mileage up 10% but my overallowed is still exactly the same. They haven't even noticed a difference.

On most routes your average paid day should go up. Following ORION + enforcing the 9.5 list results in less work for most people. Or lots of penalty pay.

I was told a week or two ago that the map is coming back and that they took it away because it was crashing the diad. I'll that with a grain of salt but we'll see. Also, the camera installed in the cab is foward facing only so you can still piss in a bottle if you have too. 😎😎😎

Our center never got Lytx cameras. Apparently we were deemed unworthy by the division.

Certain states probably don't allow these things due to the facial recognition and plate scanning. And all of the data logging that they are doing..
I'm don't think it does facial recognition or plate scanning. Just alerts them if you're speeding or aren't centered in your traffic lane. It makes an annoying sound if you do either of these things and alerts management.

Here I'll share this. Since I know most of you won't go check. You only have to read four down and see that it captures everything .

A system for automatic characterization of a vehicle includes an input interface and a processor. The input interface is for receiving sensor data. The processor is for determining a vehicle characterization based at least in part on the sensor data and determining a vehicle identifier based at least in part on the vehicle characterization.

Which equals license plate reader.

Ring cameras also violate these laws and they're not banned. I'm sharing what I was told. The teamsters were invited by Lytx to see the technology to make sure the camera didn't record in the cab. That's why they're allowed. it'll be used for harassment obviously.
