The Occupy Wall Street protesters consisted of young people who were frustrated by a failure of our government to end wars, reduce debt, rein in renegade financial institutions or control medical costs and skyrocketing college tuitions. While the Democrats may have been sympathetic to the protesters concerns about economic equality, it was a Democratic President at the time who was bailing out the very financial institutions that those protesters were railing against.

The Tea Party, on the other hand, was cooked up and funded by the Koch brothers and other like minded corporate interests. Occupy Wall Street had no such backing, a glaring lack of leadership and an out of control anger that was directed at both major political parties.

Koch bro. didn't send me a check to make me care about the redistribution of our healthcare benefits, the doubling of our nations debt or the realignment of Americas standing in the world. They are now mostly insured. But now there are millions of newly uninsured & they are the working class. They have now been cut to part time, dropped by their employers or simply priced out of the market. My mother got her new insurance rate today. $650month with a $5k deductible. She busted her butt her entire life & now the ACA has legalized insurance price gouging forcing her to pay more so that another voter gets it for free. What about that?
