I didn't have to qualify. They passed me on the spot. Some people can just recognize greatness.

No, my local takes them out from your very first check until you're paid up. They are supposed to refund the money if you quit or are fired before becoming permanent but I doubt they do unless the former employee demands it.

You need a lawyer letter, just some advice. you'll get your cash, quite possibly will not pay for the letter however.
You'll get bent over either way, coming and going.
