Seems like I’m renting now honestly if I don’t really own the place and my property taxes will just continue to rise at the whim of local and state leaders.

Honestly, I’m about to pay off my house and I’m questioning my choice of “owning” a home as being worthwhile. I could certainly see in the future if taxes and insurance continue to rise even after my home is paid and I’m on a retirement budget, losing a home that I supposedly own. For all I know I’m just keeping the place maintenance for the owner that takes it over from me when they take it from me in my Twilight years. FYI, my homeowners insurance doubled this year for absolutely no reason that I personally caused as I have not made a claim in over a decade.

I know sir. By 2030 40% RE will be corporations. By 2040 it will be 80%. Trump is clearing out all the protections to shotgun a path. It’s not just him. If your housing and food (eggs,meat,locked refrigerator grocer doors) are controlled YOUR controlled. They want you out of the house or renting no matter you own or not. They will raise everything forcing reverse mortgages so our children will not own. If there is no big war $ or manufacturing and countries in future using other medium of exchange the machine must feed on us.

No house is truly paid off. Property taxes and insurance is government active/passive income and an albatross.

I partied enough for both of us when I was 13 to 26 yrs old. I did and took any and everything that was made and not made for human consumption. I stopped to save my life. I now know what both sides look like.
