Sounds like the perfect job for FO drivers. They told us the vaccines take priority over everything. Will be first del on any route that has it.

Tired? Yes Burnt out? No 22nd peak, I'm used to it.
Punch in to punch out can't be more than 14.
Punch out to punch in must be at least 10 hours.
All that no matter how long you're 'on the clock' and no matter how long your break is
A 0500 start must be off the clock by 1900 to be able to start at 0500 the following morning
They'll probably be given to the cover driver who they gave 5 hours of notice to inform that he'd be punching in a 5 AM to help with FOs. He'll probably code them up and take them back to the station and they'll end up going out with the regular route and getting attempted at 6 PM after the doctor's offices have closed. They told us the vaccines take priority over everything. Will be first del on any route that has it. But I don't think it will really impact the majority of routes. Most likely they'll dedicate specific drivers to del these before heading to their routes.
Or better yet, a casual that mis delivers it.They'll probably be given to the cover driver who they gave 5 hours of notice to inform that he'd be punching in a 5 AM to help with FOs. He'll probably code them up and take them back to the station and they'll end up going out with the regular route and getting attempted at 6 PM after the doctor's offices have closed.
LOL like we're going out anymore due to late freight.Sounds like the perfect job for FO drivers.
Don't you have a job to get to or is McDonald's closed today. They'll probably be given to the cover driver who they gave 5 hours of notice to inform that he'd be punching in a 5 AM to help with FOs. Your supposed to be the numbers guy here and you have no idea? Sounds like you really suck at your job.You tell me, you're the one who is predicting a disaster.
I know why they did that. My station made the mistake of making to many people non-DOT and now they're paying for it. Some of those routes NEED a bigger truck. Now they have to convince the SM and DM to spend the money to put them back to DOT.
That's why FedEx established non-DOT status for many of its drivers, and despite statements to the contrary, require them to report to work in excess of DOT guidelines.
The vehicle you drive is what matters. If you're holding a card but only drive something under 10kgvw, then you are considered Non-DOTI have a DOT related question. If you are DOT, but take a non DOT route, does that make you non DOT or are you still DOT until your medical card expires?
You are DOT until you card expires. Then it's up to your manager/senior manager whether to renew it.I have a DOT related question. If you are DOT, but take a non DOT route, does that make you non DOT or are you still DOT until your medical card expires?
Not sure about that. I had to jump through all kinds of hoops with my diabetes for the office that monitors such things. Then my status was changed to non-DOT and they immediately stopped the oversight. I literally was in jeopardy of being pulled off the road until my BMI improved and my blood sugar improved when they dropped the matter. You are DOT until you card expires. Then it's up to your manager/senior manager whether to renew it.
I wonder if McDonalds will open up their inside seating once the Covid stuff is over. They seem to be doing quite well with nothing but drive-thru. Both of our Micky D's have a dozen cars lined up most all day long and the line moves surprisingly quick. I'm sure they are saving money with the dinning rooms shut down and nobody working the inside cash registersDon't you have a job to get to or is McDonald's closed today.
getting to old for this peak *. how about you?
Ok, that is what I was thinking. You are DOT until you card expires. Then it's up to your manager/senior manager whether to renew it.
As far as actual DOT regulations are concerned, if you’re driving a vehicle under 10k HOS don’t matter. I have no idea about Express policy.Ok, that is what I was thinking.
So I am DOT until January '21; my manager says since I drive a Sprinter now, I am automatically non DOT and therefore have to work 7 days a week this peak. I did come in last Sunday, but have always figured something wasn't right, especially since earlier this year I drove a Reach when my Sprinter was in the shop.
No, you are DOT QUALIFIED until your card expires. You are DOT until you card expires. Then it's up to your manager/senior manager whether to renew it.
I don't believe the vehicle you drive has anything to do if you are considered DOT. If you are carrying a medical card, you are DOT 24/7. Driving a Sprinter or an Econoline, you are DOTI have a DOT related question. If you are DOT, but take a non DOT route, does that make you non DOT or are you still DOT until your medical card expires?
For Express policy? Anyone can go get a med card regardless of employer. If the vehicle you drive is under 10k you aren’t governed by DOT regulations.I don't believe the vehicle you drive has anything to do if you are considered DOT.
