Straps and bungy cords make a huge difference if your able to strap a few tall irregs to the shelf. Worst of them all is pottery barn, sometimes 3 boxes fill the truck
Pretty sure I had one of those this week as well. It was 8 boxes. 4 were on the long and skinny side. Heavy as heckHad one of those "EZ closets" today....came in a set of 8 boxes, 4 of them were far too long for the two-wheeler....dunno what in sam hell they mean by EZ, that was difficult.
"Sir, those are FedEx packages. You need to call FedEx if you would like to have them moved."
Had he limited the conversation to that there would not have been a second concern.
So what did the second concern say?
You deliver water to a residence and you work for UPS? No plumbing or a well or did they not pay their bills?I deliver cases of water to a really "challenging" address: cul-de-sac, inclined driveway, long walkway, absolute killer delivery.
So what did the second concern say?
That I was rude and wouldn't move the boxes. obviously. Are you saying you know better than my center manager who said I did the right thing?
Lots of dam rugs the past couple of days.
I knew you ran your mouth.
Yeah its usually a combination of sups pizzing him off and really heavy volume that day.Does he ever say why he can do a good job most of the time but every once in a while he gives you a crap load?
A lot of areas have poor water quality. Either dirty and chlorinated or hard water with lots of minerals. You deliver water to a residence and you work for UPS? No plumbing or a well or did they not pay their bills?
I agree 100%. Incs are triple what we had last year. I'm guessing we picked up a lot from Fedex ground. Their dimensional weight pricing must have gone up more than ours.
It's a lot of times a sorters job to re-tape, mark with over 70 tape to most packages coming through the system. A loader usually doesn't do this. Sorters are the most unliked people in the hub. They say they don't have time, if they didn't talk as much it could get done correctly. The contract clearly states...
"...the driver shall complete and affix as many additional over 70 pound labels and/or identifying tape as is reasonably necessary to provide proper visual identification of the package for safe movement through the system. The label and tape shall be of bright contrasting colors."
So, why can't you just do your job correctly?
