I'm too tired to google anything right now, about Military spending.
If you say, it's ok, what the US spends, I believe you.

On the contrary, if you lived in this country, you would know about a lot of government control ,or jobs , that have been ousted.
Just today, gun registry has made the headline here, that it will be abolished (cost is too high to keep it).

In the past we have given up the motor vehicle branch (DMV), privatized that, also government controlled likor stores.
We have privatized Utilties as well, along with phone service.
So, no. Steps are taken back as well into hands of the private sector.

The latest 2 healthcare headlines : Calgary Flames NHL team got infront of H1N1 vaccination. Well, today, the health official that permittted it, got fired !

Yesterdays headline :POLL: 77% of Canadians believe they would be treated here better then in the US, if they had a serious illness. Up from 71% in 2005.

I really don't know, what is making the headlines there.

here's your government health care at work. First they decide that they don't have enough people dying of swine flu so they decide to squash attempts to roll the swine flu vaccine out early

then guess what. supply issues despite having an extra month to prepare when compared to the US.

when you're government decided to squash the early roll out they could have seen the swine flu reaching pandemic levels in other countries and headed off the same in canada. But the government knows better , don't they.

Why do you even compare this ?
It's not like your government is doing any better.
Actually , far worse : we have vaccinated 3 times as many citizens (by capita) then you !
We also have a newer version of the vaccine, that only requires 1 shot/doses, then 2 , and with an adjative... incase this years version is somewhat different.
And, we ordered enough, actually more then enough for every single citizen in the entire country. (US didn't order enough).

No, not everything went as planned, but far better then to the south of us. We had mistakes, I agree.
But, the US even bigger ones.

And, what is your point ? Which government is better or what ? I don't get it.

From the promised LAND
Actually, there is more than enough vaccine being produced. It is the delivery system chosen that is the bottleneck.

Instead of vials that contain the vaccine and a preservative, they are doing single dose applications. So instead of a vial with say 400 doses, they are doing syringes with a single dose already in the syringe.

That takes more time and more money. So your gooberment at work fellas, on both sides of the border.

Now, as a practical matter, there is no epidemic of swine flue. Not in our countries. Yeah, it’s a shame that there are people that have died from the flue, but it happens every year. Part of life.

And for sure I don’t ever trust my or any other gooberment to tell the truth.

Give me just one example where the gooberment actually did a good job in a timely and cost effective manner. Or when they actually told the truth. Except Ronnie who said, Government is not the solution to the problem, it IS the problem.

The reason the US gooberment does not have 350 million doses ordered is that there are at least 200 million that are not lemmings following the gooberment blindly to their promised land.

I just need someone to explain to me how this thread went from Tie posting as 'socks to debate on H1N1 (swine flu)? LOL!

Danny, you'll never get it through kleins head, EVER! You are trying to rationalize with a person that thought it was OK to walk across the street to have a beer for lunch. Think about it.

One thing about it, we have to come back to read what's going to happen next in this soap opera.........now it kind of has us hooked!

Rod, Still have your popcorn??
