I drove for express for 4 years and loaded trailers at ups twilight. Just qualified for FT Driver so yes you can. Fedex cares, ups doesn't

I am a casual driver that just ended my season as a driver. I will now be working part time until June. I looked into FedEx And there are jobs available from 12-6 (I'd be working at UPS from 7am-10 ish.

Is it allowed to work at both places? I figured I'd check in here before checking with boss/union

I'm not aware of any law that prohibits that.

Just applied for twilight shift at ups, I have been a fedex home delivery driver for 8 years. Gonna go and try to play with the big boys now. Lifting 2000lbs of packages a day is gonna be "Totes amazballs"

Maybe I underestimated my lbs but you get my drift. Its gonna Suck! Especially since i Load my own truck at Fedex

You really low-balled it. I packed up about 100,000 lbs to WA on Friday while dealing with blow-by's from our high volume. Enjoy the trailers for your first 30 days.

I'm thinking about applying to FedEx after winter and working at both. My hub used to be really liberal about letting P/T guys do doubles until the Union took issue with it.

Taking away a PT union job I would guess, or turn it FT.
Probably they want UPS to hire enough staff to cover shifts (and the extra dues money don't hurt)

No. He's right. They wanted more FT positions. They didn't get them and we lost the ability to do doubles, except during peak.
