there was a thing called a cold war going on at the time that put a different spin on the subject.

kinda hard to slam one country for a wall while building your own

I never said they were trying to escape. Just pointing to the fact that they did travel across the border and the Berlin Wall was intended to keep people out as much as it was to keep people in.

America has always been a country divided whether it be slavery, immigrants, haves or have nots. What makes this country a country to be proud of is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Politics and disparity will happen in any country and pointing at the US and saying they're the problem is not the answer. Countries go to war people die, it has happened for thousands of years and that will not change because of ideology differences among other issues of humanity reasons and greed. Look at good not the bad and see that we do have it better here in the US then in 90% of the world's population. If you want perfect I suggest praying to the God of your understanding and hope you go to heaven when you die so you can live in a perfect world. Hope this helps the victims on this site such as @rickyb if you want to change the world you have to change yourself. Obviously you are not willing to see the other perspectives and therefore no better then the people you criticize and say are evil or greedy. I love the US and I know we have problems but I wouldn't walk away from something that has treated me well over the years to see if the grass is greener on the other side.

1. Yes it has and I am willing to go to work to pursue my dream with the freedoms i have because of the constitution.
2. I dont see immigrants running to Canada in a hurry or any south American countries.
3.my analogy to religion was me saying the world is not perfect so stop bitching and move on with your life.
