What is interesting today is the massive media focus on college-educated professionals losing their jobs thanks to government scale-downs.
When I was a kid, very many blue-collar families left my area due to deindustrialization.
When that happens in most areas, the population never bounces back and the area goes into decline. But when that happens in California, very often the population bounces back faster than it declines.
All replaced by rich white liberals, and their pet immigrant entourage.
Blue collar workers in that predicament are invariably looked down upon and chastised for not learning to code or going to college.
Along with the effects of AI, I'm patiently awaiting the scolding the college weenies are surely gonna get for not learning to differentiate and manipulate the common types of ordinary hand tools.
