First and foremost, I can get a shooter at the Casey’s in Manly, IA. I cross the stateline and that’s not an option anymore.

Second, taxes. I’ve got coworkers practically renting houses in other states just to have a residence of record to save upwards of $750 per paycheck on taxes.

Third, gun laws. I’m not a gun enthusiast; I was in the military it’s a tool. But I know of an engineer based out of Iowa whose train hit a car here in Minnesota. He mistakenly gave his ID to the trooper responding and was put in handcuffs for the rest of the shift. For some egregiously small carry violation from years prior.
