We have a local burger place that still has 80 cent hamburgers.


They kept it a quarter from like the 50's til at least the late 90's.

I remember the first time I ate at a White Castle. I was with my family and we saw 14 cent hamburgers!

Yesterday: Regular cheeseburger and McDonald's for $1.00, all drinks $1.00, cost me $2.00+tax for a quick lunch.

Wendy's is good for a quick lunch for a reasonable price.

Did you know that if you leave regular McDonalds hamburgers in your car for 2 or 3 days in the summer they will smell just like White Castle?

Back in my college days.

Until I started this PT, retirement 'job', I never really ate lunch at fast-food places.

Occasionally supper, and road food. That was it.

These guys I drive with now have a hierarchy of places they like to eat. One Hardee's in particular, Wendy's any other time and occasionally Arby's.

Then, of course, any time we are off a beaten path, some one or another has a favorite local diner they argue over. Usually they are really nothing special.

I was probably a teenager before I ate at McDonald's. When I was younger I went to other burger chains like Burger Chef.
